As of October 13th, one day before the closing of nominations, there have been 8 candidates nominated. There are six
seats for City Council and one seat for the Mayor.
Nadia Hunter was nominated for City Councillor by Don Moyes, retired Fire Chief of Merritt and long time resident, and,
Joanne Portman, who is well connected to the community.
